How do you clean your hair straightner?

The gel from my hair keeps sticking to the surface and I can't get it out

You could get an iron cleaning spray, but it might be hard to find as I've only seen it at my local beauty supply. I suggest using rubbing alcohol on a cloth. Make sure the cloth is well saturated and that the iron is hot. Bunch up the cloth so there are several layers between your hand and the plates and rub kinda hard ,but do it quickly so it doesn't burn you. This works very well for me!

Maybe you should try cleaning it with alcohol while is off and cool

when its still kinda warm get like a towel or something and basically straighten the towel, it should get most of it off, if that doesnt work, wehn its not warm just get a wet towel and try to wash it off.

Dampen a towell with alcohal and straighten the towel whilst it is hot and on. Make sure the towel isn't soaking or you can damage the straightners
