What Can I Do To Make My Hair Look Less Damaged And Frizzy?

I have fairly short (because i had to cut the ends because they were really damaged) black frizzy, dry hair. Whenever i try to use a gel, it makes each strand of hair look GROSS. I also try to starighten it, but I know it damages it, and now it REALLY looks bad. A relaxer I had recently worked and made it look softer and straighter but as soon as I started to take out my twists, it looked natsy too. I wahsed it, and it looked fine, but as soon as I wanted to put in a ponytail and used gel on the side of my hair closest to my face (because it wont stay put) it looked nasty after doing that everyday. Please help and if you can offer some hairstyles too. (I already have side bangs)

MOISTURE! if your hair is dry, you need to moisturize it. deep condition your hair once a week. do not wash your hair with shampoo that has lauryl sulfate or laureth sulfate in it, or let these ingredients be lower on the list. these are agents that are used to produce foam/suds; however, they are extremely drying.

for a deep conditioner i suggest organic root stimulator's replenishing conditioner (all natural ingredients) and when you go to rinse it out, leave a little in your hair.

first of all you need to stop using gel unless its the kind that does not get hard. whenever you wash your hair be sure to condition it, and if you have time deep condition it. it's good that you cut off all your dead ends. Use a good condtioning relaxer like Motions or go to the salon to get it done because they use professional products. I would have to know more about how you take care of your hair to tell you anything else.

you hair def sounds like it need a break. Try getting some braids or cornrows or some kinky twists to let your hair relax. Gel is also no good for your hair if you use alot on a daily basis...Try using a moouse on your hair. Try doing a deep conditioning or hot oil treatment to help with the dryness and frizziness...

You might want to try going to a salon and get a professional deep conditioning...Your hair sounds REALLY damaged, and you need to do something about it before it starts to fall out.

If you a more at home person, try the Emergencia Conditioner at http://www.roundbrushhair.com

Good Luck...email me if you have any more questions!!!
