Not to be rude %26amp; I didn't want to say this but this but I like to help b/c I'm a stylist %26amp; I love hair.I'm also an african american woman.So to make it short %26amp; simple our hair our hair texture is kinky even if you have a texturizer on it.If you look anywhere online or at the beauty supply stores on the back of products it will tell u different types of hair textures but the only one for our African American kings %26amp; queens is kinky.Teturize isn't actually a chemical that straightens the hair that's why the gel curled it.Textur are better than harsh relaxers, relaxers straighten the hair texturizers just relaxes it a little keeping it from being unmanegable.Hope this helps
