I had experienced that, since I am a girl, it freaked me a lot. What I did was I didn't shampoo that day. I just washed my hair. It is beacuase the natural oil will come out from your hair. Then the next day, my hair was shiny. Then after that, I made it a habit that I would not shampoo every Saturday. So now my hair is shiny bacause I don't "overfeed" it with too much chemicals.

you NEED hair oil, but you might want to try a lighter oil that isnt so thick and heavy and always remember that a little bit goes a long way.

You could also put a little dab of frizz-ease serum and massage it through your hair. Its made for frizzy hair, but it also adds a nice glossy shine to dull hair.

Try using a conditioner. You can buy 'sleek and shine' types. Garnier Fructis is really good.

You're hair is dull because shampoo strips all the oil and dirt out, just as it's meant to do. You need to put some kind of moisture back into your hair. You could also try a V05 hot oil treatment. You use those once a week and it's really good to restore shine.

To make your hair shiny:

After washing your hair, use beer or tea for a final rinse (this is a very old and effective remedy)

or:

Add a few tsps of lemon juice or cedar vinegar to water and use this for a final rinse.

Use a small amount of baking soda with your shampoo to wash your hair.

Deep condition you hair with 1/2 of mayonnaise for 15 minutes and wash out. It makes you hair very soft and shiny.
