Mixture for hair loss will it work?

will mixing teatree oil, lavender oil, and rosemarry oil in aloe gel work to help regrow hair on a man? if massaged into the scalp every night then washed off every morning?

is there a better way to mix this solution? should it also be mixed with olive oil or somthing or is the aloe gel enough?

Mixture for hair loss will it work?

Everything depends on his genetic background, his lifestyle, and health as a whole (including his psychological health). Aromatherapy can help control hair loss, but to my knowledge there is no scientific proof that it would help hair grow back. Hopefullly, aromatherapy research will soon be funded for more conditions, including alopecia (baldness), and we'll find out.

But if he believes in the treatment, he may see dramatic results because his own disposition will activate the healing process. In any case, there are a some things he can do. First of all, he should avoid washing his hair EVERY morning and when he does, he should use a mild shampoo. The natural oils produced by the human scalp are there to nourish the hair - stripping it with harsh shampoos and daily washes will only make the condition worse.

Now, depending on the colour of his hair, I suggest making an oil blend to use as a hair mask before washing as often as possible. If he's fair, try Chamomile oil. If he's dark, try Bay laurel oil. Personally, I prefer Jojoba oil because it nourishes the hair, but is easily absorbed and also helps with other hair conditions. The way to use this oil blend is to apply on the scalp and massage it for as long as he can with nice small circular movements. He should take care that he doesn't use his fingernails and scratch his skin. Then he he should wrap the hair first with clear film (the one we use for sandwiches etc) and then a warm towel. He should leave it on for at least 30 min or more if can. Then he can go ahead with the washing.

Now, the choice of essential oils depends on his medical history. Some oils, such as Lavender are inappropriate for people with low blood pressure, for instance. In this case combining it with Rosemary would stabilise the blend because it raises the blood pressure. Tea tree will not help with alopecia. In an oz of carrier oils, add 3 drops of Lavender, 3 of Rosemary, 2 of Cedarwood and 2 of Thyme. Needless to say that the purity and quality of the essential oils you use is of the essence. If you don't use therapeutic grade E.O.s, forget about it. The only American company I've tried out that had this quality is Young Living oils - but you may be familiar with more.

To make a lotion that he can apply daily, which will not have an oily effect (and which he shouldn't wash), you can add the same amount of drops in a tbs apple cider vinegar (preferrably biological) and then add Lavender or Rosemary hydrolat to make up the rest of ml you need for an oz.

Another thing to consider is his diet and food supplements. I'm sure that if we have them in Greece, you should find plenty where you are - I just don't know your brands.

Finally, I suggest that he considers consulting a certified aromatherapist to make all this for him and give him a personalised blend according to his medical history and needs. Besides, that way he can get more info and tips on things to do according to his own lifestyle.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

I am sorry, but it is a genetic factor. Not much can be done, go natural, I think its the best way and quite attractive than trying to make him who he is NOT.
