This is what works for me::

When my hair is wet, after i wash it sometimes i have to take a spray bottle full of water to get it more wet, I put this Sunsilk De-Frizz. (the bottle is green) and keep srunching it till it dries or sometimes if i don't want my hair freezing because its cold out side i use a blowdryer with a defuser. I put it on a warm/cool temp to make sure there isn't more frizz.

I have natrually curly/wavy hair and mine is about the same length as yours, i also have somewhat thick hair. Hope this helps!
