Will this damage my hair?

I've been straightening my hair 5 days in a row, Monday-Friday. I do have a ceramic Remington Wet2Straight straightening iron. I don't use mousse or hairspray or gel or anything like that. My hair isn't dyed or anything either. Will this make me lose hair??

(I haven't noticed yet but I'm just wondering)

You HAVE to protect your hair! I use tresemme heat defence. Its REALLY good, and it protects against straighteners, tongs and dryers.

i wouldnt recomend wet to straight straighteners use heat protectant sprays like vo5 or tresseme they are under 5 bucks

also your hair wont fallout it will just get fried

Yeah, it will ruin ur hair if u do it that often... It'll cause split ends, and frizzies after time... I would use something with heat defense.

u should really use a product in your hair to protect the hair shaft or else it will start to break and get split ends.

buy the CHI hair straightener (that is the best that i have used), and get their serum.

dont use the rusk one (yellow spray can) it made my hair sticky and hard to comb thru.

i would really try to use some gels or something on it just to be sure so it doesnt ruin. It couldn't hurt!

A: True. If you don't have protection, your hair will be fried. Don't straighten your hair every dang day. Find a new style.

Q: Are there products to help me protect my hair?

A: Sure is. Tresseme' has stuff. Pantene has a really good cap thing that you use when you sleep. And there is certain shampoo to help prevent split ends. Good shampoos and conditoners help your hair even better. Use VIVE PRO, PANTENE, THE EXPENSIVE STUFF.:) If you can't afford it, save up girly!

It probably isn't the best practice but, as long as your hair doesn't show any damage it looks like you're alright.

However, I would recommend giving your hair an occasional

break and use good Conditioner / Reconstructor and a heat protective treatment when you straighten.

It definetly will not make you lose any hair but anything you do to it will be somewhat damaging but nothing to worry about. If you are worried, try using a defensing spray from the heat. Like Thermal Spray by Biolage.

Anytime you do something to your hair you are damaging it. Do you a good deep conditoning treatment. I have tried them ALL and the only on that keeps my hair soft and manageable is Regis Ultimate Treatment (I do not work for Regis or support them, just a good product). You will almost never get a good treatment from an over the counter purchase (unfortunately).
