How do I tame my frizzy and thick hair?

Im a dude with hair about1.5 inches. It is so damn thick and as soon as it drys, it poofs up and no matter how long i brush it, it wont go down. I use conditioner everyday. I like to brush my hair backwards, but have to use gel. If not, the hair is poofed up instead of lying down on my head. Can someone help me?

try using some frizzy hair serum or a different type of shampoo my hair does the same thing but mine is longer of course I'm a girl i straighten mine and use a special type of shampoo and wash it every other day so it don't dry out my hair and cause breakage

when you put conditioner in your hair, rinse it out with cool/cold water instead of the reg. temp. of your shower water. using cold water lock in the moisture, and helps make your hair lie flat and look smooth. (if you have the time leave the conditioner in for as long as you can) Also I use the fructice sleek and shine serum. it helps alot. Or next time you get a hair cut ask the person who cuts your hair about your problem, they'll know how to fix it. *Just don't let them talk you into buying their EXPENSIVE products.
